Becoming a new mother can be a time of joy in a woman’s life, but for a lot of women the new demands of parenting, hormonal shifts, and environment factors can be overwhelming and lead to women to experience baby blues (a short term feeling of sadness) or they may go on to experience postpartum mental health conditions of depression, anxiety, and or psychosis.

To help lessen the strain during this very unique period in a woman’s life, we offer this 5 week support group. The group will best benefit women who have delivered a child less than one year ago. The group will discuss the postpartum joys and challenges physiologically and mentally and provide information regarding available resources beneficial to new mothers in need of additional support outside of the support group.

Why Join Our Postpartum Moms Group?

Support groups bring together people who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. They can provide comfort knowing that they are not alone in their experiences and can offer and opportunity for you to learn new information including coping strategies that can be helpful to manage difficult circumstances. We hope to offer you support, encouragement, and tips to help you have a more positive experience as a new mother.

Worried about how to attend the group given your new mom role? Little or no babysitting help? No worries our group is virtual so you can join in with little reasons to hinder you. Just mute your volume if your little one is demanding your attention.
