Alicia Buczek is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York. She graduated from Fordham University School of Social Services in 2023, with a concentration in social work in schools and with substance use disorders. Alicia’s experience includes a social work counseling background working with women in nontraditional settings (i.e. blue collar industries) by assisting them with social support and empowering them with information on their rights, responsibilities and education on wellness strategies, as well experience working with teenagers to assist their emotional and social well-being, to be able to do well in academic environments.
In addition to a social work background, Alicia’s prior work history entails a merchandise and marketing experience, where she managed a specialty business for multiple brands by strategizing growth opportunities for obtaining prospective new accounts, provided product knowledge to increase brand awareness, educated and informed store members with product knowledge seminars, and assisted with recruitment strategies of staff. Alicia felt called to go into the social work field due to her longing to be in a field where she can use her gifts of empathy and care to connect with the emotional needs of others, specifically to assist women to overcome challenges they face.
At Vibrant Women Wellness Counseling (VWWC), Alicia’s focus in working with women is to empower and uplift them. Guided by influences of her past, she desires to help other women thrive. In her words:
